about

This is the final recording of the 52 Noisy Little Clouds - Ruined Finery edition. The 1st of the 52 was recorded in January 2014.

I've avoided some of the familiar instrumentation used throughout the edition - no game calls, no small percussion, whistles etc. The core of the piece remains the soprano saxophone. The final section is the result of a rekindled interest in some of the music I played in the 1990s (some pretty harsh noise).

This recording is dedicated to the handful of people whose works have remained of deep interest (and mystery to me) over most of my life - Stephane Mallarme, Edouard Manet, Beethoven, Charlie Parker, Albert Ayler, The Mothers and Lol Coxhill.

To the later discoveries - Wagner and Merzbow.

To the recipients of the 52 boxes of the 1st edition and of the 51 boxes of the second.

There a couple of PDFs to download. Pictures by Isabel taken today, and the Ruined Piano pictures that have appeared in a number of the boxes.
To my parents.

And a lot of other people...

50 years in the making.
